Fees can be paid termly or via monthly standing order. If paid termly, the full term’s fees are required prior to the start of term.
Standing orders are worked out monthly with the final payment being made in July for the following academic year.
The fees per term outlined below are for the academic year 2026 – 27 including VAT where applicable.

Discounts
Where two or more children are concurrently attending Polwhele House School, the following discounts shall apply:
Fees for second child: 5% discount
Fees for third and subsequent children: 10% discount
Discounts are applied from the oldest children down; where siblings are in nursery, sibling discount will only be applied once the nursery pupil is attending on a full-time basis.
A 10% discount is available for annual fees paid in full before September 1st annually. Please contact financemanager@polwhelehouse.co.uk for more information.
Scholarships
Equestrian, Sport, and Performing Arts scholarships are based on talent and potential.
Scholars are expected to show an engagement with their studies or talent over and above that of their peers and show considerable commitment to their relevant area of school life – whether equestrian, sport or performing arts. They will act as ambassadors for the School.
Scholarships available are:
Gold 40% discount on fees
Silver 20% discount on fees
Bronze 10% discount on fees
Scholarships are reviewed annually.
Bursaries
Where available, bursaries are means-tested and available to children who have been offered a place, but whose families cannot afford full fees.
The Bursary Application Form is assessed very carefully, and the Finance Manager adheres strictly to the guidelines laid down by the Independent Schools’ Bursars’ Association. A recommendation is then made to the Awards Committee (whose decision is final) on the amount of financial help the school can offer based on parental need and the level of funds available. A Bursary award would not normally exceed 50% of standard tuition fees but can, in exceptional circumstances, cover up to 100% of fees.
Bursaries are reviewed annually.
Bursary recipients are expected to make a full contribution to school life and show considerable commitment to our community. They act as ambassadors for the School.
Bursaries are also available to current pupils whose family circumstances have drastically changed and the payment of fees has become extraordinarily difficult.
Wraparound Care
Wraparound Care is included in fees for Years 3 – 11.
Early Birds (8:00am – 8:20am)
After School Clubs (3:40pm to 5:00pm – includes sandwich tea)
Extras | Additional Lessons
Support Fees: Invoice parents direct.
Riding: £30 per lesson.
Music: Individual instrumental lessons billed by instructor.
Notices
Parents are reminded that the scholarships and discounts awarded are stand alone and cannot be combined with other scholarships or discounts. For example, if a Gold Scholarship is awarded then a 40% reduction is applied and capped at that level so even if they had older siblings attending Polwhele House School, they would not qualify for sibling discount in addition to their scholarship. The higher rewarding scholarship or discount will take precedent in all circumstances.
Parents are reminded that a term’s notice is required before withdrawing a child from the School or a term’s fees in lieu of notice will be payable, at such rate as would have been charged for the final term of provision if a term’s notice has been given.
Due Date: Fees are due for payment by the first day of term. There is a late-payment surcharge of 2% on all overdue accounts.
