Welcome to Polwhele House
At Polwhele House we believe that children deserve far more than just a good education. Our school is set in a safe and beautiful 30 acre site on the outskirts of Truro, giving the advantages of learning in both the countryside and the city. This location means that we can deliver a unique curriculum embracing indoor and outdoor education and enhancing every aspect of each child’s life experiences.
We aim to develop responsible, compassionate, dynamic individuals, with secure confidence in their own personal strength and a determination to develop their talents and passions.
Our staff are experienced professionals who believe that the needs of each child must be met both in the classroom and outside. Children have the opportunity to extend their learning, play sport both in-house and against other schools, take part in performances and pursue their interests. Those with a particular ability in the Performing Arts or Equestrianism can develop these skills and even become a Polwhele House Scholar, spending additional time refining their skills and expertise within the school day.
At Polwhele House, children can be children: enjoying the outdoors, playing and developing the skills of co-operation and leadership in a safe, caring environment.

We are so delighted to share our very special edition of ‘The Polwhele House Pupil News’ Magazine, containing articles & pictures created by our amazing pupils from Nursery to Y8. This unique publication presents the children’s work and responses to ‘World Oceans Day 2020’ and we hope our school family and visitors will enjoy reading & looking at it.
