SCHOLARSHIPS AT POLWHELE HOUSE SCHOOL
Polwhele House School offers an exciting range of scholarship opportunities designed to nurture talent, celebrate achievement and encourage commitment in three specialist areas – Equestrian, Sport and Performing Arts.
All three scholarships are structured to nurture potential and commitment beyond the classroom – whether through riding, athletics or the arts – and include additional coaching or specialist sessions during the school day.
Equestrian Scholarship
The Polwhele House Equestrian Scholarship offers a unique opportunity for children aged 8 and above to deepen their passion for riding while developing strong horsemanship skills in a supportive yet challenging environment.
Designed for committed and talented young equestrians, the programme provides access to high-quality, year-round training to help each scholar grow in confidence, ability and equestrian excellence.

Performing Arts Scholarship
The Performing Arts Scholarship (PAS) at Polwhele House is a unique opportunity for talented young performers to develop their skills in an inspiring and supportive environment.
Scholars take centre stage in school productions, concerts, competitions and even professional auditions. With strong links to leading theatres – from the Hall for Cornwall to London’s West End – our students gain invaluable experience performing on real-world stages while growing in confidence, creativity and discipline.

Sports Scholarship
We are incredibly excited to launch the new sports scholarship programme at Polwhele House School. This initiative will make us the only school in Cornwall to offer a sports scholarship from Year 3. In 2023 we were joint runners-up in the ISA Awards for Outstanding Sport (Small School). We are hugely proud of this accomplishment and use it as motivation for the future.
We are hugely passionate about sport at Polwhele House, and we believe this step will help accelerate our journey toward becoming a beacon of sporting excellence in Cornwall.
