Curriculum

Creative and Academic - a great learning environment

At Polwhele House, we provide a varied and stimulating curriculum for children all the way from the Early Years Foundation Stage right through Key Stage 1, Key stage 2 and Key stage 3

We recognise and encourage individuality and with modern teaching methods, daily challenges and the creative environment to learn new skills, children discover their talents through the arts, music, drama and sport.

At Polwhele House, our children develop a range of interests and hobbies through an extensive list of extra-curricular options supported by committed staff and specialist coaches.

Our aim at Polwhele House is to prepare our pupils, both socially and academically, for the next stage of their educational journey. The excellent Common Entrance syllabus prepares pupils for entry (a good proportion with scholarships/bursaries) to public schools further afield. Over the years we have sent pupils to Badminton, Blundell's, Bryanston, Cheltenham Ladies, Clifton, Eton, Harrow, Mount Kelly, King's Taunton, Millfield, Radley, Rugby, Sherborne, Shrewsbury, Wellington, Winchester and Wycombe Abbey.
